Last thursday night while it was still dumping I decided it would be the perfect night to set up this conrete ledge/rail stall in town. I had been scoping this thing out since summer time and was pretty stoked we were finally going to make it happen. This is pretty much only hittable at night when it has just snowed because the run in is flat and all pavement plus you need a car town in. Mammoth pretty much sucks for your typical handrails and ledges for the expection of a few (the new 18stair just got nobbed). There is definaly shots in town you just have to get creative and be ready to shovel and make it happen. This stall isnt really too unique but definalty is in a spot if some one were to drive by they wouldnt think to set it up. Over all it was a good session definalty going back for a reshoot with another flash and everybody wearing brighter stuff.

- MattyMo throwing some snow will brad is about to get towed around the loop.

- This top rail was skechty it would bend in alot everytime anybody hit. Brad had it under control with a nice blunt to fakie.

- Matt Moriarty aka MattyMo flexing his deck on a tailblockish status stall

- Checking out the ledge one more time

- Matty with a decent size ollie.

- I wonder if Jeremys facial expression helped him land this plant?

- I guess this little jib session really warmed Matt up since he won the volcom PBJ rail jam two days later.

- matt rocking it.

- No better way to end a session but with a nice blunt by Jeremy Sherwin.
I have been trying to ride and shoot as much as possible lately. My knee still feels pretty weird but everday I feel like I can ride alittle faster and harder. Im super stoked on this season since its pretty much the 1st full season I have been really shooting just snowboarding. Already have alot of stuff and feeling like im progressing and learning more everytime I go out.
This past Saturday spent a few hours shooting Mac and couple of friends in Main park. Mac is constantly killing anything he rides. I really enjoy shooting him because I know for sure Im going to get some great shots. This kid has such smooth style on everything. There is so much talent In Mammoth and so many underrated kids killing it everyday. Mac is definalty one of them.

- Backside seven tail.

- poking a cab five.
Yesterday we went out nice and early and headed straight to hike smugglers. There is still not enough snow on hemlocks but I think one or two more good dumps and it will be rideable. The hike was steep and hot but the ride down always makes it worth it. I managed to take a few shots this time.

- Joseph jumping a little bank.

- Nice Sun slash. (bad angle on my part)

- Hiking up for more.
Its been my third day out on the mtn this year since knee surgery. I have been taking it pretty easy and just trying to shoot alot. Wednesday morning I meet up with Johnny, Jeff Kramer and some of the Wave Rave crew. We headed up the gondola, cruised down the back side and made the hike up to smugglers. I had no clue what to expect since we have not gotten any snow in awhile and the mtn was already hurting for it. We all got too the top cooled off and headed down into some nice untouched snow. So good and so much fun definaly worth the steep hike. I didnt have my camera and was glad I didnt so I could ride. After that grabbed my camera and we cruised back to the park and made due with what was up. I had meet Kramer for the first time that day. He is a super nice guy and kills everything with his unique and flawless style.
Incase you missed it check out Kramers inteview by Kyle Clancy HERE

- Kramer front three south park

- five ohhh 180 from the side

- front board

- gettin piped

- s.s.b.s.l.s.

- The top was shut down all day due to high winds. I read that two nights ago wind gusts where up to 125mph on the backside of the mtn at night. As you can see still alot of exposed rocks and bare spots. We still need a nice wet dump.

- Dispite the huge crowds Matt was still able to find a nice stash through the trees.

- Chair 5 winds still gusting at the end of the day.

- It was pretty damn cold all day. Had to be single digits i think the top was at -5 at sunrise.

- South park. Same set up as the past few years. Hopefully they will be able to put alot more in the park now with the new snow. Alot of rails and stuff just laying around.

- Jamieson testing out the gateway box.

- Jamieson getting his share of the stash.

- At the end of the day we found this cool log ride gap to stump. Really nice light, went back next run to get the whole thing but it was all dark by then. bummer.

- Saw alot of cloud stickers all over the mtn on peoples boards.
Before last weeks storm we set up this pretty mellow down ledge in town. We were planning on getting up early for some nice morning light but it was overcast and lightly snowing when i woke up. Went back to sleep woke up around 11. Still nasty weather but decided to at least try and get some stuff since we had set it up the night before. The crew got there started warming up, made some adjustments for more speed, I sloshed around the creek to find a good angle and then everybody started hitting it. Turned out to be a pretty fun session.

- Mac getting a sling shot into the ledge. This is how the ledge is: Left side 8ft drop to water, Right side nasty rocks, Huge rock on right side of landing. kinda sketchy.

- result of good sling in. Mac backlip

- No ass shots here. MattyMo sessioning the ledge the whole time switch to get a nice shot. Here switch noseslide.
A surprise storm hit mammoth last night and left us with foot of new snow on the mountain. Its about time we start getting some storms cause it was looking pretty grim everywhere. Since I cant snowboard yet I decide to take out the sled and head up to the Minaret Vista in search of some decent snow. We had first tracks in about a foot on the trail up there and found some nice 2 - 2 1/2 ft spots but alot was wind blow. Its still lightly snowing right now and hopefully we will get another storm before x-mas.

DFI’s “friendly fire” premier went down last friday at the village square in Mammoth. Good turn out. Guy to Girl ratio was about 10 to 1 but hey its mammoth what do you expect. 5 Boroughs held it down with a constaint flow of hot pizza and PBR’s. Video was well done good job to Nate and Justin its their best one yet. At the end a bunch of product was tossed out to the crowd. Its pretty funny to watch 30yrs run after stickers and tshirts like 13 yrds would. We were there passing/throwing/sticking out a bunch of freshly cut Blue Cloud die cuts hopefully you where luckey enough to get if not email us on the site or myspace and we will try to get you one. Overall it was a goodtime thanks again to Nate for getting us involved.

-Crowd before the premier started

- Boroughs own Danbo holding down the pizza and beer tent
